Socratic, Hint-First, or Direct: Choosing the Right Pedagogy

Different learning goals need different tutoring styles. Arkentec-SHULA lets instructors switch modes per course, chapter, or assignment.

A good human tutor doesn't always give the answer. Sometimes they ask a guiding question. Sometimes they offer a small hint. Sometimes — when time is short — they explain directly.

Arkentec-SHULA exposes three pedagogical modes: Socratic, Hint-First, and Direct. Instructors choose the right mode for the moment: Socratic for conceptual exploration, Hint-First for problem sets, Direct for review and revision.

The mode can shift per course, per chapter, or even per assignment. This is what it means for an AI tutor to actually serve the curriculum, instead of replacing the instructor's judgment.
